Meet the Herd
Our cashmere goats are the heart of everything we do — raised with care on 19 acres in southern New Hampshire, and selected for exceptional fiber and temperament.
Foundation Flock
Our Foundation Doelings
Fern and Frankie are our two foundation cashmere doelings, born April 21, 2025, from Kato En Farm in New South Berlin, NY. They were chosen with great care for their lineage, fiber quality, and temperament — and named after two remarkable women in our family.
Both doelings carry the genetics of an exceptional registered sire and a proven dam from Springtide Farm in Maine. They are the beginning of a carefully built cashmere breeding program here at Touching Grass Farm.
Fern
Named after great-aunt Fernande
Our white doeling — bright-eyed and bold from day one. Fern carries the name of a beloved great-aunt, Fernande, and we hope she'll grow to be just as spirited.
Frankie
Named after great-aunt Françoise
Our cream doeling — soft in color and full of personality. Frankie is named after great-aunt Françoise, whose warmth and grace feel fitting for a fiber goat of this quality.

Their Lineage
Sire · Father
EMW Jinx
East Meets West Family Farm · Currently at Kato En Farm
A registered white cashmere buck born April 2024, EMW Jinx is a twin with a large frame and a long, silky coat. He was over 70 lbs at six months and reached 122 lbs at 16 months. He has never required deworming — a strong indicator of natural parasite resistance.
Dam · Mother
Radley
Springtide Farm · Maine
A proven three-year-old cashmere doe from Springtide Farm in Maine. Radley brings established maternal lines and the temperament of a farm known for quality cashmere breeding in New England. Her pairing with EMW Jinx was deliberate — combining his exceptional fiber stats with her proven dam record.
Breeder
Kato En Farm
New South Berlin, New York
Kato En Farm is a respected cashmere breeding operation and current home of EMW Jinx. Their careful selection for fiber quality, frame, and parasite resistance aligns closely with our goals at Touching Grass Farm. Fern and Frankie are our first acquisition from their program.
